My GF noticed it had Staineous Flouride in it and warned me (I used it only twice since I bought it) and I immediately stopped using it (I had a major sloughing of gums a few years ago using prodent and some 20,0000ppm Staineous flouride rinse my my dentist gave me). Anyways, this morning I am even more sensitive and noticed my gums feel a bit "loose". I have a feeling there's going to be another sloughing of my gums (how many times can this happen before it permanently damages your gums?)
I really think the common ingredient here is the Staneous Flouride. It's super dangerous and I wish there was a class-action lawsuit to have it removed from the shelves. It costed me hundreds of dollars the first time around. I switched from the Crest Pro-Health product I was using and the problem disappeared. No more stringy slime to pull out of my mouth an hour after brushing. What's really ironic is the variety I was using was the "Gum Protection" formula. What a racket! Perhaps there might be even a bit of collusion between the company and the dentists who indeed push their products :-(
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07230232099181081703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4854406702717130163.post-57340982788813020772018-08-02T11:39:49.954-06:002018-08-02T11:39:49.954-06:00I STARTED USING CREST PRO HEALTH THAT WAS RECOMMEN...I STARTED USING CREST PRO HEALTH THAT WAS RECOMMENDED BY THE DENTAL HYGIENIST.
IT FEELS CLEAN,BUT RIGHT AFTER BRUSHING, THE SKIN INSIDE YOUR MOUTH PEELS???
WHAT CHEMICAL IS IN THIS TO CAUSE THIS ETC.
RECALL THIS PRODUCT.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4854406702717130163.post-41596218760290897132018-03-07T15:47:27.087-06:002018-03-07T15:47:27.087-06:00I love that this post is still top in the google r...I love that this post is still top in the google results after years. I started experiencing this problem almost 20 years ago. I can't use most major brands of toothpaste. I could never find out why. If I asked my dentist he didn't know, he just said I must be sensitive and just stick with what works (and still gives me a grab bag with the tiny tube of crest that I can't use). The only ones that don't burn my mouth are AIM, Mentadent, Sensodyne and any Natural types of toothpaste. I usually stick with AIM because it's cheapest. It came to mind again today and I googled out of curiosity and found your post. Thanks for sharing! I googled "toothpaste makes my mouth pe...Wow! I googled "toothpaste makes my mouth peel" and your blog is the first information listed. I am on a medication that has many contraindications, so I thought my toothpaste was reacting with my medication. I never, never would have thought that so many people have been suffering from the use of these extra strength toothpastes. Yes, I have all the common symptoms and manifestations caused by this product. I cannot brush twice in one day as my tongue feels so burnt I cannot feel the inside of my mouth and it numbs my sense of taste. Every time I brushed, after less than half an hour, I could rub my tongue around my mouth - anywhere! - and sheets of tender epithelial tissue would sluff off onto my tongue. It got to the point I would spit it into a tissue to see how much there was, and I was horrified. Epithelial tissue plays a role in protecting and lubricating our body cavities and preventing them from infection, so when I shaw my mouth was being stripped of this barrier, I thought it must be a terrible reaction combined with my medication. I never knew it was the toothpaste alone giving me a chemical burn, to the point of sore throat, sinus problems, extreme dry mouth and throat at night to the point pf waking up choking, and an inability to soothe it. I would try many things on rising to try and "wake" my mouth up, but I was unable to taste food or juice and my mouth should remain numb and dry with a sick burnt sensation. I have also traced facial breakouts around my delicate sinus zone to the use of these products, and I am well past the age of active acne. All of this is the cause and result of infections allowed to penetrate the body by the stripping of one of my body's natural defense barriers. And yes, this post was begun several years ago, so where is the comment from the detergent companies developing these products. Better yet, where is the class action lawsuit. This is horrendous! We are being treated with chemicals that have no place in being introduced into our bodies, and by our mouths yet. Think of the dental damage this is doing not only burning the gums and mouth, but by leaving our mouths dry and unable to fight bacteria, and our teeth unable to be naturally cleansed during the day, leading to further dental problems. Where is the lawyer that wants to take up this class action?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4854406702717130163.post-45575604637438661522017-01-20T04:03:37.355-06:002017-01-20T04:03:37.355-06:00I had the same thing for several months.
